It’s been a long time coming…
but Malaysia has finally introduced an e-visa facility for Indian travelers.
If you have thought about visiting this wonderful country,
then think no more, because with visa-on-arrival and e-visas,
Malaysia is making it easier than ever before.
The Malaysia e-visa system was commissioned
on 15 April at Window Malaysia.
It’s believed that the time taken to process an e-visa
is between 24 hours – 48 hours (weekdays).
Expect to pay around $25 as processing fees
(approximately Rs 1660) + Vvsa fee Rs1000 + transaction fee of Rs 50 online.
This brings the total estimated cost to around Rs2,710.
The entire payment has to be online only.
You would need a passport size photo and your original passport.
Once you are granted the e-visa,
as an Indian passport holder you are entitled to stay a maximum of 30 days.
Of course, it goes without saying that the e-visa is granted only for tourism only.
The e-visa will be good for a single journey to Malaysia
within three months from the date of issue,
provided that the passport remains valid.
