Day 1: Elephants for Company
Spend your morning at the Konni Elephant Training Camp where you can watch elephants being trained, bathed, and fed. Go for an elephant ride and take in the view from the top. After a traditional Kerala lunch, head to the mural art gallery and admire well-preserved old murals as well as new ones. Return in the evening and relax with the soothing sounds of the night.
Day 2: Mirrors and Art
Today, we start the day with a visit to the breathtaking Perunthenaruvi waterfall, 40 km away. After lunch, go shopping for the famous Aranmula Kannadi (mirror) and interact with its makers. Skilled rural artisans carry on this centuries-old craft, the process of which is still kept a secret. A unique piece of art where metal components are molded together, the Aranmula Kannadi is a great souvenir to have and is tentatively listed under the UNESCO list of heritage crafts.
Day 3: Memories
This day can be either spent taking a relaxing walk around, indulging in an Ayurveda treatment session, or watching a special Kathakali performance on request. Soon after it’s time to head back home taking these memories with you
