There is no magic recipe. No million dollar salary. This website is a creation of months of pain. Of frustration. Of all that is part of entrepreneurship that no one ever tells you about. Nothing has been easy and we don’t think it’s going to be either.
A Typical Day At Trippin:
Get up. Look at mails. Sigh in frustration because no one really bought anything. No one really booked anything. Wonder for the millionth time why you are doing this. Should there be any effort? Is it not better to just take a job at IBM? You look at Facebook, and see that the only person who shared Trippin’s post is you. And then you see photos of your friends who have gone to the latest brewery in town. You sigh again because you know that you are exhausting your savings, and that a beer might seem fine, but you have a 1000 t-shirts unsold. You don’t have a salary and you wonder if having a “Donate to Trippin” box should be added to the website.
Call up a few homestays after this wandering desolation of working alone. Of knowing that there are no great co-workers egging you on. That your mistakes hit you harder than anything you have done in the regular workworld. Beg the homestays if they want to be listed. Chase the frustrating marketplaces that are listing your products, and claim 15% on a sale, but don’t offer you any help to do so. Write mails. Call. Create posters that no one is looking at.
Welcome to the world of pain. Of knowing that losing is not an option. But just a process. And you feel like start-ups are just a balloon – you have to learn to fly them.
