Join us on this fascinating road trip that starts in Srinagar and ends in Leh. This is the long way to reach Leh, but you will pass through some of India’s most breathtaking scenery and jaw-dropping vistas. Choose this plan because you have plenty of time, and because you are not a hurried traveler. We love you if you aren’t!

Highlights of the Trip

Day 1: Srinagar

On your arrival in Srinagar Airport, meet your other travelers, and make new friends. If there is time, let’s head over to Dal Lake for Srinagar’s most iconic photo opportunity.

Day 2: Kargil

You will visit Sonmarg on the way and then Drass (The second coldest inhabited place in the world) and pay tribute to our soldiers at the Kargil War Memorial.

Day 3: Leh

Get off the road for a while for some river rafting on the way to Leh. In the evening, step out to the gentle bells of the Shanti Stupa and the Leh monastery.

Day 4: Nubra

Who would think that the mountains would have sand dunes? It happens only in Leh! In Nubra, you get both the sweeping mountains and the sand dunes. Overnight in Nubra.

Day 5: Nubra to Leh

We make our way back, but not before a stop at the towering Diskit Monastery. You will go past the Khardung La pass, the highest motorable pass in the world. But then, you know all that.

Day 6: Leh to Pangong Lake

This is the scene for a thousand selfies. Spend the evening at Pangong Lake, camping at the lake of stillness

Day 7: Pangong Lake to Leh

It’s time to hit the road back. On the way, visit the beautiful Hemis Monastery. Round off your trip with some shopping at Leh market.

Day 8: Airport
