Pick up from Bagdogra and transfer to Yaakten. Overnight at Yaakten. This is around 4 hour’s journey by car.
Take an early morning trek to Jhandi Dhara for a beautiful jungle walk experience and then a magnificent view of Kachenzongha on a clear day. Come back, have breakfast, and enjoy your stay at Yaakten Village. In the evening, you might be treated to a tribal dance. At Trippin Traveller, while we encourage you to experience local culture, we do not advocate exposing the sensitive tribes in this region to an onslaught of cameras. So, please be considerate and always ask the people about taking their photos. Overnight at Yaakten.
Early morning after breakfast, proceed towards Lachung. Enroute stop by Butterfly waterfalls and drive to Rangrang. Enroute stop by the Naga waterfalls. Drive to Chungthang and proceed toward Lachung.
Start at 06:00 AM and drive to Yumthang (12000 ft). Spend time at the valley enjoying the snow. (In winter, of course!). Yumthang valley (12000 ft) considered the North East’s very own Valley of Flowers. A short hike of about 1 hr through the Pine & Rhododendron forest and you might be glad to dip your feet in some hot springs. Drive back to Lachung. Overnight at Lachung.
After breakfast move out from Lachung and proceed to Lachen. Lachen is located on the right bank of the Lachen Chu at 2700 M above sea level. Despite rampant urbanization, Lachen still retains the traditional mountain village’s purity. Overnight at Lachen.
In the morning, visit the beautiful Gurudongma Lake. On the way visit Thangu. Come back, have breakfast, and proceed to Rabom. Rabom is a beautiful North Sikkim Village on the Kachenzongha National park region. Overnight at Rabom.
After breakfast, move out from Rabom and proceed to Gangtok. Sikkim’s capital is mostly a functional sprawl of multistorey concrete boxes. But, true to its name (meaning ‘hilltop’), these are steeply tiered along a precipitous mountain ridge. When clouds clear, typically at dawn, views are inspiring with the Khangchendzonga soaring above the western horizon. Gangtok’s crooked spine is the Rangpo–Mangan Road, National Hwy 31A, cryptically referred to as 31ANHWay. The tourist office, banks, and many shops line the central pedestrianized Mahatma Gandhi (MG) Marg. Evening leisure at Gangtok.
On the second day, after breakfast move out from Gangtok and proceed to see the awe-inspiring Tsomgo visit. Overnight at Gangtok.
