Meghalaya has lots in store.
The living root bridges are, of course,
the prime tourist draws.
But in addition to that there’s beautiful waterfalls
and breathtaking trails to be explored.
Come on this amazing 11 day tour with us and see unseen Meghalaya!
After you reach Guwahati Airport,
transfer to the tranquil village Mawphlang,
situated just 40 kilometers from Shillong.
After freshening up,
we shall have a delicious meal and relax and rejuvenate.
Today we spend the day at the river bank in Mawphlang.
The sheer serenity
and the lush surroundings will help you connect to your inner peace.
Enjoy the day sitting near the river or go for a leisurely walk around,
before returning to the hotel at Mawphlang.
Get your hiking boots on because we are going on a trek!
Starting from Mawphlang,
we will follow the David Scott Trail,
named after a British administrator.
Take in the views of the huge rocks, gushing streams,
cascading waterfalls,
and thick vegetation while having an amazing time.
After a day well spent,
we will have a delicious meal before crashing for the day.
Say goodbye to Mawphlang as we leave for Cherrapunjee.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the picturesque sights on the way.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the local markets
and purchasing some trinkets to take home.
Today we shall be visiting the marvelous Double Decker Root Bridge
before moving on to witness the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls,
explore the Mawsmai Caves, take a break at the lush Thangkharang Park,
and wrap it up with the Seven Sister Waterfalls.
From there, we shall return to our hotel at Cherrapunjee.
Want to relax?
Or visit Dawki?
We would say choose the latter.
Go for a boat ride on the Wah Umngot River
or plunge into its depths while snorkeling.
You can also visit the Jaflong Zero Point
or
the Boorhill Falls before returning to Cherrapunjee for the night.
After breakfast,
we shall proceed towards charming Mawlynnong.
On our way, we shall visit the glorious Riwai Root Bridge,
a sight straight out of a picture postcard.
We shall spend the night at Mawlynnong.
Rise and shine,
for we are going on a walk around Asia’s cleanest village.
The Khasi huts made of bamboos give this place a rustic charm,
while its lush greenery makes it a place that stands out from the rest.
We shall be visiting the Sky View Point, the wondrous Living Roots Bridge,
and the naturally balancing rock, a sight to behold.
Today we start early
and proceed towards the famed Pobitora National Park to try
and spot the one-horned rhinoceroses in their natural surroundings.
Besides these animals,
we may also see wild boars and buffalo, barking deer,
and if we are lucky enough, leopards too.
Tonight, we stay at the park itself.
We leave early in the morning for an adventurous jungle safari
at Pobitora National Park.
Later, we stay over at the park again.
It’s time to say adieu as the tour comes to an end.
After breakfast,
proceed towards Guwahati after an extraordinary experience
with beautiful memories to last for a long time.
