Museums, monasteries, colorful festivals a UNESCO World Heritage national park, markets all clamor for attention even under Everest’s shadow. Day 1

Arrival

Our English speaking guide will meet and welcome you at the airport. Our guide will also help you with your transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

Kathmandu

If you want to be dazzled by one of the best shows on Earth, then take a mountain flight early in the morning to get some aerial views of Mt Everest, the Kanchenjunga, and the Tibetan plateau. This 45-minute flight offers an incredible panorama. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will be visiting Patan. Situated on a little plateau across the Bagmati River, Patan is considered as one of the oldest among the three cities of Kathmandu valley and has the distinction of being home to the finest Newari craft. See Emperor Ashoka’s stupas, royal baths, and Taleju temple among other monuments.

Later, you will visit Kumari House (Temple) and meet Kumari, or Kumari Devi, to take part in the tradition of worshipping pre-pubescent girls as manifestations of the divine female energy or Devi in Hindu religious traditions. Our last stop will be Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 3

Kathmandu – Bharatpur – Chitwan

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park known for housing the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tigers, and gharial crocodiles. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a visit nearby Tharu Village, explore the lifestyle of the tribes there. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 4

Chitwan Jungle Safari

Early in the morning, you will be taken for an elephant-back safari. In the afternoon, enjoy a canoe ride in the Rapti river and visit the crocodile breeding center. Finish off with a jungle walk. In the evening, you will witness the Tharu Stick dance where farmers of the nearby villages put on a display. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 5

Chitwan-Pokhara

After breakfast, head to Pokhara, an enchanting place known for its remarkable beauty, offering panoramic views. We leave the rest of the day free for exploring at your leisure.

Day 6

Pokhara

Go on an early morning sunrise tour to Sarangkot. From here, you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri in the west to the perfect pyramid that is Machhapuchhare and the rounded peak of Annapurna II in the east. Most people come here at dawn or dusk, when the sun picks out the peaks, transforming them from a purple-pink to a celestial gold. In the afternoon, take a tour of Pokhara, including Davis fall, Bindabasini temple, Seti George, and Gupteshwor cave.

Day 7

Pokhara-Kathmandu

Drive back to Kathmandu (approx 6 hours).

Day 8

Departure

Transfer to airport.
