Tour Code: U1
The monsoons may have retreated and we await the North-East monsoon, but before the cold sets in, experience the lush green of the Western Ghats in our rural Didupe trek:
Dharmasthala has two stupendous waterfalls, Didupe and Ermai. These falls lie at the base of the Charmadi Ghats. The Nethravathi Dhara trek introduces you to a beautiful walk, rural hospitality, and some amazing company. And a little offbeat destination known as Elaneeru Falls or translated into Tender Coconut Falls!
On arrival at the homestay, have a hearty breakfast. You will need this for the walk ahead! Prepare for the trek up to Elaneeru Falls. After lunch, make your way to Kadamagundi Falls.
In the evening, prepare yourself for a cultural extravaganza with a traditional Yakshagana performance at your host’s home.
We start off early for a trek to Eramai falls, which is situated in a private farm. After breakfast, head down into the dirt. Literally. Roll your sleeves and forgot those posh Levis because you can enjoy some true rural fun with some mud games. Wash off all the dirt and grime and then feast on a Malnad festive lunch. In the afternoon, visit paddy conservator Deva Rao’s farm and get an impromptu lesson on the joys and rigors of farming.
