Tea Nest, Coonoor

Sit by the fire and play board games, go for a plantation walk, amble down a private, 1 kilometer road to the tea factory, trek the Sujith’s Trail or swing in a hammock and watch time go by. Take a trip out to experience the Nilgiris mountain railway, part of the UNESCO Heritage list of activities or visit the town of Coonoor. If tea is what you fancy, participate in their tea tasting experience (at extra cost) where you will be taken through the flavours, process of tea making right from when the leaves are plucked to the time it reaches as a steaming cup at your table and stories of different varieties of tea all culled from the Nilgiris.

Tea Nest has a choice of 8 large rooms, quite colorfully named after teas and spices. All the rooms come with a living area, bedroom with king/queen size beds, attached bath and a fireplace. Housekeeping is provided daily.

Tea Nest has an extensive menu with a variety of cuisines to choose from. Particular mention should be made of the special menu comprising tea infused foods such as the lemon grass tea sorbet, spaghetti served with tea based tomato sauce, grilled fish wrapped in tea leaves and broken orange pekoe tea smoked chicken soup.

Tea Nest is around 3 kilometers away from Coonoor town. The nearest airport and railway station is in Coimbatore from where Teanest is 74 kilometers by road.
