Farmer Talks

Day 1

You can check in after a long bus journey if you are coming from Bangalore. Or a short drive from Coimbatore. At around 9AM, we take you around to meet one of the region’s most prolific farmers. Adopting Japanese farming principles, you would find out how Mr. Santosh wants to make his farm 3 degrees cooler. “A place for the purest oxygen,” he proclaims before showing you around the coconut oil extraction plant and the natural soap-making factory. Take a walk around the farm and get to understand that there is more to farming than we all knew.

Craft Making Demo

Rural culture has its own life, a beat that takes you back to our traditional roots. Local artists such as the one you are going to meet now are skilled artisans who are doing their best to preserve a dying culture and tradition. Handloom Weaving Village

Just after a hearty lunch at a farmhouse, make your way to a handloom weaving village where you can immerse yourself in color! Literally. Watch how beautiful yarns of cloth are created and if you can try weaving some yourself! You will wind down the day with a night of star-gazing and lazy conversations with your new-found friends from today.

Nature Walk and Birdwatching

Day 2

You will walk along the scenic Feeder Canal Road and listen to the calls of a 100 birds. If you are an avid birder, then this is your paradise! Have fun relaxing in the lap of Nature. And please leave your music players behind!

Vettaikaranpudur & Puravipalayam Zamin

We drive to a quaint farm house for a special interaction. Vettaikaranpudur is also famous for its Arulmigu Maasani Amman Temple. Later, we have a short heritage walk and a pottery-making demonstration. This is the last stop in your day before you have some snacks to fortify you for the journey back!
