Day 1

Ahmedabad

Though the focus of this tour is on Kutch, Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat cannot be left behind. The city has much to offer in terms of colorful markets, architectural wonders, and yummy cuisine.

Day 2

Little Rann of Kutch

We begin exploring and move toward the Little Rann of Kutch. However, before reaching the Little Rann, we have little gems to explore on our way. We stop by at the Rani nu Vav at Patan and the Sun temple at Modhera. Both of them are masterpieces of Indian culture and heritage. Reach Little Rann of Kutch.

Day 3

Little Rann of Kutch

Explore the beauty of the Little Rann of Kutch. Go on a safari at the Wild Ass Sanctuary, meet some villagers, and learn more about the varying landscapes of this part of Kutch as seasons change.

Day 4

Bhuj

We move closer to the Greater Rann of Kutch. We reach Bhuj, the main town in the region. Spend the day at leisure or you could go in for some shopping at the vibrant markets of Bhuj.

Day 5

Hodka/Dhordo

The region of Kutch is known for its handicrafts. Some of the forms of arts practiced here are Rogan painting, weaving and embroidery, Bell metal craft, block printing, pottery, and more. We visit some NGOs helping the artists and also meet some artists and see their work first hand. Toward evening, we move into the white desert to witness the most amazing sunset.

Day 6

Hodka/Dhordo

Today we explore more of the wilderness that Kutch is. Visit the ghost town of Lakhpat, learn about its history, move to the westernmost motorable point of India at Koteshwar (don’t miss the sight of some capsized Pakistani boats), and visit the Chhari Dhand bird sanctuary

Day 7

Bhuj

As we told you earlier, Kutch is the most geographically diverse district. Where else would you find deserts, mountains, and beaches together at one place. It happens in Kutch. We are done with mountains and desert, let us move to Mandvi, a coastal town. We visit the beach and Vijay Vilas Palace and get back to Bhuj.
