Operating a Chinese Fishing Net: The image of the Chinese fishing nets against a golden sunset is a popular image synonymous with Kerala, particularly Cochin. Now, at Kumbalangi, you can get hands on and learn how to operate a Chinese fishing net. With the help of electric lights the fishermen attract prawns and fish to the nets and the two people who operate the nets work in tandem.

Making a Beedi: Learn how to not just roll a beedi but also to make one.

Catching Fish with Bare Hands: Follow the women into the river and try and catch some fish with your hands as they do.

Coir Making: Watch and participate in the entire process of coir making, right from the de-husking of the coconut to the making of the yarn.
