The first city we visit in the Danube Bend is Esztergom, the city that once was the royal residence of Hungary.
It is still home to the cathedral of the Hungarian Catholic Church.
Visit of the splendid and monumental Cathedral of Esztergom and its treasury.
Our next stop is Visegrád, famous for its mediaeval castle ruins and its panorama over the Danube Bend.
We enjoy a lunch in a local restaurant, followed by a visit to the pretty, baroque town, Szentendre.
After a nice walk in the downtown and visit of Kovács Margit Museum (world famous Hungarian ceramicist) or Chocolate and Marzipan Museum displaying marzipan miniatures of stars and main sights of Hungary.

Transfer to the Abbey of Pannonhalma, which was founded in 996 AD by the father of the first Hungarian king.
Visit of the complex which is part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1996, including the wine cellar of the abbey with wine tasting.
Lunch in local restaurant.
Transfer to Győr, a nice Hungarian city situated at the busiest highways of Central Europe.
After lunch in local restaurant, visit of the historic downtown.
Transfer to Budapest late afternoon.

Transfer to North-East Hungary to the city of Eger which is used to be called the most beautiful baroque city of Hungary.
Downtown panorama tour including the castle and former Bishop Palace, Dobó István square, and the Basilica of Eger, which is the second-largest ecclesiastical building of the country.
Continue with the last remain of the Ottoman Empire, the 40 m high minaret (this is the northernmost building of the Ottomans as well).
Transfer to the wine yards of the city, the Valley of Beautiful Woman where the world famous red wine the Bull’s Blood is produced.
Lunch in a wine cellar with wine tasting and guided tour in the cellar.
Afternoon transfer back to Budapest.

Transfer to South-East Hungary to the city of Kecskemét that is situated in the middle of the Hungarian Great Plain, the so-called ‘puszta’ surrounded by paprika and apricot fields.

Transfer to a traditional Hungarian horse farm.
Welcome with ‘pálinka’ (Hungarian spirit) and traditional salty cake.
Lunch in a typical Hungarian inn, a so-called ‘csárda’ with folk music.
Afternoon carriage ride on the great plain, visit of a stud farm and horse stables.
The program is rounded up with a horse show.
Afternoon transfer back to Budapest.

Transfer to Western Hungary to the former royal city of Székesfehérvár.
After a short sightseeing tour, continue to the largest lake of Central-Europe, Lake Balaton (length: 77 km, maximum width: 14 km).

Visit of the Tihany peninsula on the north coast with its Benedictine Abbey.
Lunch in local restaurant.
