The Firefly Festival: Light Up Your Life in June

Welcome the monsoons with light. All through June, fireflies throng the small villages in a corner of Maharashtra. Witness this natural marvel and be a part of the sheer beauty of nature by coming with us on the firefly tour, which ends on June 30th.
A trip with the fireflies includes:
- Firefly spotting!
- Traditional Maharashtrian food cooked by the villagers
- Guided walks
- Farm activities
- Various treks in and around (optional and extra cost)
A typical day trip looks like:
Day 1:
12.00 PM: Traditional welcome/ Tent allotment
01.00 PM: Lunch at a village house
04.00 PM: Black tea and light snacks (special unlimited snacks on weekends)
05.00 PM: Village walk and participation in rural activities (Sunset trek optional)
07.30 PM: Early dinner (Special traditional puran poli and amti is served on weekends)
08.30 PM: Guided walks around the village and forests to witness the magical fireflies
Day 2:
06.00 AM: Wake up call (optional), have a hot cup of black tea and go for a sunrise walk to the dam
08.00 AM: Breakfast (Poha or Upma) will be served at the village house
10.00 AM: Help at a farm
11.00 AM: Enjoy mangoes, karvandas and jamuns (basket of mangoes is provided on weekends)
12.00 PM: Take a swim or just laze around the river.
01.30 PM: You will be super hungry by now, hot meals will be served at the house.
02.30 PM: Don’t forget to thank your hosts before you head out.
