Lonely Planet describes it beautifully. The Blue Mountain or Phawngpui as it is known locally, is venerated by the Mizos as the Abode of Gods but its slopes are said to be haunted by ghosts. How does it feel to be trekking up those slopes? We don’t ask you to wonder, but instead wander.

In our first tour in Mizoram, we wanted to curate an experience that will take you into the heart of Mizo land. Mizoram is a beautiful land, bound by Manipur, Assam, and Tripura with Myanmar and Bangladesh for company. Our signature Blue Mountain Experience tour is a unique trek. It’s for the kind of traveler who really wants to understand what offbeat really is. You won’t find hundreds of vendors as you may in Leh. Day 1

You will be met by our travel partner on your arrival at Lengpui Airport. Overnight stay in Aizawl.

Day 2

In the early morning drive towards Phawngpui (Blue Mountain), which is the highest peak in Mizoram. You will spend the night at South Vanlaiphai, a beautiful and quaint town.

Day 3

Today, please put on those walking shoes and get ready for a workout! We will set off for a hike to Blue Mountain. You will capture the mesmerizing scene of Kolodyne River shrouded by mist and from where you can catch a glimpse of two countries from both sides. Stay overnight at the guest house.

Day 4

Today, you will visit Thaltlang village for your first experience of Mizo rural life. Then, drive towards South Vanlaiphai for your overnight stay.

Day 5

After breakfast drive towards Thenzawl, which is a handloom destination and then to Sialsuk, a beautiful grass glade. Night halt at Hmuifang.

Day 6

After breakfast proceed to Aizawl. Spend the day as you wish for some last-minute shopping in Aizawl.

Day 7

After breakfast, proceed to Lengpui Airport for onward journey. This will mark the end of your Blue Mountain Trek and Experience!
